What We Do

On behalf of our community and capital partners, Seneca buys, develops, and owns affordable, multifamily properties. Our goal is to invest in projects that improve communities by addressing the critical and systemic issues that they face, and by giving residents a say in their community's long-term outcome. In taking this approach, we empower residents and we help to create more resilient neighborhoods.

We accomplish this mission by forming local community partnerships that address critical needs.

  • We partner with civic-minded banks and alternative capital sources that provide private financing to help produce community development projects that are socially impactful and sustainably conceived.

  • We also partner with local businesses and not-for-profits to offer specialized workforce and healthcare training programs that address labor and medical gaps in the communities that we serve.

  • Finally, we design inviting building amenities that provide residents with important quality of life enhancements, many of which are historically absent from the neighborhoods in which our portfolio properties are located.

This holistic approach to development ensures that we are creating communities; not simply providing housing at an affordable rate. We structure all of our transactions to align the interests of our management team, our operators, and our capital partners to enhance living standards and deliver positive results for our residents and communities.
